I must be QUACKERS!

Well, sadly I have to announce that DUCK SEASON is over...Greg was actually sad! Last Sunday evening after listening to all the stories, exaggerations, and hype of how awesome it is to be out there duck hunting, I took up the invitation! Greg was too funny about getting me in

the right gear! "CAMO up baby..we're going duck huntin" So I went into the boys room and they supplied all that I needed...Thank goodness I could wear their clothes cause the weather was good...Three layers did me just fine. After getting out there on about 800 acres and watching these men get all their stuff in order, butt pade, duck calls, ammo, guns, and yes we can't forget the decoys...Oh my gosh...what an ordeal to get a duck! After sitting on the bank of a very large pond, it was very COOL....the quiet overwhelmed me...It was awesome...Then the flock of geese went over us..WOW, what an experience, they are a noisy bunch of birds..what are they communicating about? (Probably making fun of those people sitting in the cold in camo...LOL).....Then the sun went down, wow, I hear from Greg "Don't move, keep your head down" you can hear the wings flapping over your head, the different ducks with different quacks----it was really cool! I took alot of pictures because of the beauty of God's creation. Have you ever looked, I mean really looked at the different colors of any duck...IT IS AMAZING! It got dark fast, so here we had to load up all the gear and walk for a long while back to the car. I had the vest on with the back pocket on it...Guess what was in the back pocket----DEAD DUCKS----ewwww---the funny thing about it---they kept me warm, what a workout! I have to say "I really enjoyed spending time out there with my hubby, and the #1 coolest thing also was----no cell phone ringing--YEAH!" I am looking forward to next year now!

THE VISIT....

Greg has been planning a Ram Hunt for months. Greg's favorite place to go is called Temple Thompson. Thompson has a high fence area about 8 hours southwest of Gun Barrel. Greg found him thru word of mouth about 5 years ago and has gone about 5 times now. It is hilly, rocky, and beautiful country. The cabin, well we won't talk about that....It's RUFF!

This trip included Greg's brother Bill, his son Michael and Greg's sister son Brian (who flew down from Chicago) along with our son's Anthony, Chris and Brando. Two other friends's of Greg's went along ..Rory and Ryan.

The first thing I heard about the trip was that Greg had to pull over half way thru the trip because he literally could not see, cause he was laughing so hard. Laughter is like good medicine! They each got themselves a ram. SO GOOD FOR THE TAXIDERMY BUSINESS! It was a great time of fellowship, celebrating Anthony's 18th birthday...look out bloggers more news coming about that subject! Lindsay and Jeremy brought over Logan to meet new realitives....It was fun....but on the cuff I have to express that when I walked in my house on the last day of the visit..I said "Hmm , what is that smell?" Bill replied..."MEN!" oh!

It's January!

Hey there Everyone,

I have had some people asking "whats up with your blog lately?"

Been so crazy busy, with the status of family events like a new baby boy named Logan Kyle born on December 15th, the holidays,

and yeah...back to school....not just for the kiddos but the grown

ups going to college. It's fun, but now the classes are a little bit harder!

I am already looking forward to spring break....LOL....as my kids say in texts.

But no, the real reason I am excited about spring break is because

I am going to Cali to see my granddaughters...yep, both of them, of corse

#2 isn't here yet, but I am counting the days!
