We all drove to the Garland Special Events Center about an hour an half away where they charged us $8.00 to park. Searched our purses, NO VIDEO CAMERA'S., metal detectors, just like the airport....but we always sit in the same place where we are in the front row right as the Graduates line up to recieve their emply packet. They have to go to school Thursday and Friday and sign in and then recieve the REAL DIPLOMA!-----I don't know---it's a TEXAS thing!....Last Night was the 3rd year in a year we have done this....next year it will be Natasha..It sure goes faster as we have been doing it! Tomorrow-- all the kids are out of school for the summer...Let the games begin!

TODAY is the DAY!

It's the day Anthony has been waiting for.....He got his Braces OFF....WHoo-Hoo!

3 Day Weekend

Let's not forget what Memorial Day is all about! Freedom is not FREE! We are very grateful to be in a Country where men and women have fought for us! On the other hand, it's all about chilling out at home relaxing (someone needs to tell Greg that!) , playing around and eating some good ole WATERMELON!

Baby Logan is 5 months old today!

Yea....buddy....Logan is so much fun...such a good baby. He never really complains..always so happy and if your about 10 minutes late feeding him, he'll let ya know! Such a JOY!

He loves nap time with Grampy that's for sure!

What's that noise?

Hmmmm.....for almost a year now, I have been complaining about a noise that my truck as been making, like a very loud humming, so many people thought it was my big tires! So Greg took the truck for two days...and no kidding while he was pulling into his parking lot at his shop, the rear end went out! Ok, like THANK YOU GOD, I drive 70 mph for 20 Minutes 3 days a week to go to school...That would of added some more gray hairs for me, thats for sure! SO GREG, the carpenter, the taxidermist...replaced the rear end! Whew...I'm rolling again..quietly!

Whew....

Finals are OVER.....I PASSED that dreaded math class...WHOO-HOO!

I am so excited I can relax for 2.5 weeks and then back to school for 5 weeks...Thanks everyone for all your encouragment...35 college credits....yeah!

Senior Awards

On Monday evening May 11th, we all gathered up at the High School for the Shades of Excellence--Senior Recognition and Award Ceremony. It was very exciting to see all the students recieving all their awards and scholarships..over ONE MILLION DOLLARS was handed out. It was awesome! Anthony recieved Senior Recognition, AP Government, Honor Graduate, Panther Pride-Drama, UIL Scholar, ETBU Christian Leadership Sch., ETBU Honorary SCH., Gold Card Scholarship, and the TVCC Top 10% Scholarship Awards. ETBU is East Texas Baptist University about 2 hours west of us. Also that evening, the FIRST of many--Kyle Zitko Scholarship for $500 was awarded to Kevin Liggit who wrote the most impressive essay explaining his goals and dreams. Lindsay was outstanding when she went up on the stage to present the award. She expressed to the students "Don't lose your focus and embrace how hard it is to work for what you want to achieve" She also expressed remembering how excited Kyle was when he finally landed the job he loved. It was very moving and we are all so proud of her.

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!

Awwww.....what an awesome day! Everyone of my Kiddos wished me a "Happy Mom's" day! It's hard to know where to begin. First of all my Mother even sent a HUGE plant saying she's glad I am hers! I hope this plant sticks around for awhile! Tony and Wendy totally caught me off guard when they sent awesome family pictures and a frame from Isella that had "NANA" craved on it! OH boy the water works began.....so special! Stormy, thank you for coming over a day early and showering me with flowers and chocolates (hands off Greg--you chocalate addict you!) LOL....That was some good planning on your part cause you had to work ALL day today...Coming home from church and Chris and Amy were on the answering machine-what a nice surprise...all the boys helped Greg get some unfinished projects done around the house---WHOA, now that's what I'm talking about---Tasha, thank you for remembering me too, while you had to work all day TOO! Today was an awesome day and I have to mention the highlight that really tugged on my heart, was that ALL through the day....I received text messages and phone calls wishing me a HAPPY MOM'S DAY from ALL of Kyles' friends....WOW...that really got to me! I think GOD was trying to tell me something! He has it all under control! To know your purpose in life is a GIFT! I AM A MOM....AND I AM BLESSED BEYOND WORDS!

TOO MUCH STUDYING,,,

Ahhh....the wonderful time of FINALS--YIKES---I have so much more respect for our older children who have gone thru college...oh my goodness...so stressful. I never knew it was possible for my head to hurt cause the brain is a MUSCLE and it's been over worked this week for sure!

Oh but I got some relief today when Lindsay brought Little Logan over for a long visit....

Oh what a nice break from studying...we had fun!

LADIES NIGHT OUT

There must of been about 25 or 30 of us...It was hard to tell above all the chit-chatting and laughing. We all met up at Christian Life Center and jumped into cars and car-pooled up to Mesquite, which took about an hour. We had dinner at ON THE BORDER...The funniest part of the evening was trying to find a parking space...have you ever played the game FROGGER? Oh my goodness, have you ever tried to find a parking space when 5 women are telling you how to get in the space---I was laughing so hard and so grateful I wasn't driving--A for effort, Angie...Thanks for driving--YOU did a great job! I have to give Kudos to our wait staff---they were awesome and had us out of the restaurant just in time to get to movies....We saw GHOST OF GIRLFRIENDS PAST....OH BOY----It had a good message about how real love changes your life....but I would have to recommend it for mature audiences only! I want to wish all the Mom's out there a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
